Blind Tasting Masterclass with UK Sommelier of the Year 2025, Maria Boumpa

'What does it take to excel at blind tasting?

Most of us have our methods, our hacks, but there's always something to be learned when it comes to figuring out 'what's in the glass..?'

The UKSA are extremely privileged to welcome IWSC UK Sommelier of the Year, Maria Boumpa for this exclusive one-off event at Amathus Store Oxford. Maria will be sharing her personal tips and techniques around blind tasting and guiding us through a series of different wines, all generously supplied by Amathus Drinks. Not even Maria will know what's being tasted, so this is very much an up-close-and-personal experience of expert blind tasting in action.'

If you are studying for your ASI, WSET, MW, MS or are interested in competition this is a truly INVALUABLE experience. For the rest of us, this offers a fantastic and convivial opportunity to retune the palate in the company of your peers.'
