2026 ASI Certification 1 exam took place on one of the hottest days of the year!

Last Wednesday, June 24th, 2026, the stunning, historic surroundings of the East India Club played host to the latest Association de la Sommellerie Internationale (ASI) Certification 1 Exam.

Against the backdrop of the club's opulent and elegant rooms—and enduring a exceptionally hot summer day—eight of our dedicated members sat down to put their wine knowledge to the ultimate test.

Putting Knowledge to the Test

The ASI Certification 1 exam is a rigorous benchmark, demanding a deep understanding of global wine styles, regions, viticulture, and service standards. Staying focused during a heatwave is no small feat, but our candidates showed immense professionalism and determination as they tackled the intensive written exam.

The papers have now been officially sent off to the ASI for marking, and we are eagerly awaiting the results. No matter the outcome, completing this exam is a massive achievement and a testament to their dedication to the craft.
